
Madeline Andlaw

Madeline Andlaw brings extensive experience to the field of counselling. She trained in the UK, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from Thames Valley University, London, in 2005. This course was accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with which she has been affiliated since the beginning of her training in 2001.

Madeline has specialized in Bereavement Counselling, working with Bereft Bereavement Counselling in the Borough of Ealing, London. She also attended workshops at St. Christopher’s Hospice in Sydenham. Her experience extends to General Counselling, having worked with Ealing Abbey Counselling Service, Askham Family Centre in Ladbroke Grove, as well as spending time at the Charing Cross Hospital Mental Health Unit.

Upon returning to Gibraltar, Madeline continued her work in the private sector, focusing primarily on Bereavement, Couples, and Family Therapy. She has also led workshops on Bereavement at Bayside School, participated in radio interviews on the subject of loss, and in 2010, was appointed as a Bereavement Counsellor for the Cancer Relief Centre. There, she launched and led Group Therapy Workshops and provided one-on-one counselling.

Madeline practices from a relational stance, placing the therapeutic relationship at the core of her work. She approaches her practice with diligence and respect, always prioritizing the client’s perspective, worldview, and story. Her finely-tuned listening skills and intuitive sense, developed over many years of experience, allow her to intervene effectively and create a genuine, healing encounter.
